About Creative Experiments
A junior science lab in your living room. Kids run 5–7 hands-on experiments — erupting volcanoes, color-changing liquids, polymer reactions, instant frost, density rainbows.
Each kid wears a real (kid-sized) lab coat and goggles, and from the moment they put them on, something shifts. They stop being party guests and start being scientists. They get their own station, their own beakers, their own droppers — nobody’s watching from the back row.
Experiments are spaced for excitement — fast wins, slow chemistry, gross-out reactions, beautiful color shows. We open with something loud so the room lights up, slow down in the middle for the experiments that need patience, and save the biggest reaction for last. Our instructor explains what’s happening in language a six-year-old gets, then steps back and lets them do it themselves.
Everything is non-toxic and rigorously tested — kitchen chemistry scaled up with proper equipment, not chemicals we wouldn’t hand a child. Mess is contained on our mats, and we clear it all at the end. All we need is table space and a couple of hours.
Educational AND mind-blowingly fun. We end with a take-home science kit so kids can repeat their favorite experiment at home — which they will, usually before dinner, and probably more than once. Parents tell us the volcano gets rebuilt for weeks.
